Bli55fi5h

Bli55fi5h is the project name of Mark Evertz and his passion for electronic music and sound design.

As a guitarist, recording-, mixing & mastering affinado, I also release rock-esque music on popular streaming platforms under the name Mark Evertz Music. 🙂

Magic

Even though I’ve been into this stuff for a while, I still wonder how all the pieces work together to form what we call music. I’ll do my best to keep the magic going.

Across Genres

Why are we so used to setting genre boundaries and labels and risk missing out on great music? I don’t have a definitive answer to this, but I try to keep them out of my creative process. So don’t be surprised if things sometimes don’t seem to fit together 🙂

News & Stuff

Long awaited, it’s finally here. The accompanying video for our song Homeless has been published. 🥳

Lola is currently on a small promotional tour and is giving interviews to Swiss news magazines and TV stations.

We’ll keep you updated 🙂

Cheers Lola & Mark

Homeless - Video

As a long-time Ableton Live user, I have created my own zero-fancy & non-rocket-sciences tools. Since this has taken several hours of my precious free time and interested people might enjoy it, I have decided to share it for free.

At the moment there are only two Ableton Midi Effect Racks, but the list will grow step by step – most of my stuff still needs a bit of tweaking to qualify as a sharable tool.

The Midi Effect Racks can be downloaded on Gumroad.

Ableton Midi Drum Maps (Effect Racks)

My first collaboration with Lola Van Lo, singer and all-round musician from Switzerland.

At first, I was hesitant to approach musicians for collaboration as I found the song incomplete and a bit contrived (e.g. the quintuple metric cried out for polish). After Lola sent me her first demo, I knew what was missing and Homeless got the direction it needed. Thx Lola 🙂

Homeless is available an all major streaming platforms.

A secret love and my long-time goal of producing an EP with electronic music – ScapeLand is finally seeing the light of day. The seven tracks originated from a friends-&-family event in July 2024, where I had the honour of playing the complete ScapeLand live-set with a total of 13 tracks and visuals.

ScapeLand – an homage to my role models of the electronic producer scene.
